Interfacing and software are the biggest challenges when updating from mono LCDs to TFTs.
Most LCD modules come with an 8-bit MCU Interface, whereas most TFTs have a Parallel RGB interface with additional control signals. TSINGTEK's UART&MCU TFT modules, which housing a controller IC, RAM, graphics library and other components, can present the user with a more familiar interface and simplified software requirements, reducing development time and cost dramatically.
